Retail-first player guide
Lou's Lagoon Resources & Locations
A verified resource hub that separates known locations and harvest gates from quantities or respawn details that still need retail confirmation.
Evidence
Verified resource table

| Heart Berry | Plants encountered on early islands | Early exploration | Keep until a recipe or quest asks for it | Video tested |
| Spinfruit | Seen during early island exploration | Early exploration | Quest / crafting ingredient in demo footage | Video tested |
| Woodthorn | Needed in the Gleam Reef unlock chain | Stronger Swirler progression | Bolstered Wood prerequisite chain | Player report |

How the resource loop works
Resources are not just collectibles: they are gates. The Swirler has upgrade levels, and the starting Swirler 1.0 only harvests level-1 resources. If a node refuses to harvest, read its requirement before hunting for another copy of the same material.
Early verified materials
- Driftwood — harvested on Lou’s Island during the opening pier repair.
- Scrap — visible around storm-damaged areas and used in early rebuilding/crafting loops.
- Heart Berry and Spinfruit — seen during early island exploration. Keep unfamiliar materials until you know whether a recipe or request uses them.
- Woodthorn — part of the reported Gleam Reef unlock chain and gated behind stronger Swirler progression.
- Fish scales — a separate crafting-resource family obtained through fishing. Third-party retail tips report 12 scale types, with Fishing Rod level affecting what you can catch.
Best practical rule
When a quest asks for something you have never seen, check in this order: island → gadget level → processing machine → recipe prerequisite. That order avoids most wasted searching. Drones can collect some resources for coins, so repetitive materials are not always worth farming by hand.
What this page intentionally does not guess
We do not publish exact respawn timers, full per-island tables, drop rates or recipe quantities unless retail evidence confirms them. Those fields are prepared in the data model and can be filled as verified sources become available.
Player Q&A
What is the Swirler?
The Swirler is the core collection gadget used to harvest resources and move materials into repairs.
What can Swirler 1.0 harvest?
The opening tutorial explicitly says Swirler 1.0 can harvest level-1 resources.
How many fish-scale types are reported?
Retail tips report 12 types. We do not publish unverified full location tables.
Can drones collect resources?
A long-form retail review reports that drones can collect certain resources for coins.
Why can a visible resource be impossible to harvest?
Resource nodes can require a higher gadget level, so check the harvest requirement before searching for another location.
Does this guide invent missing recipe numbers?
No. Unverified quantities, drop rates, respawn timers and locations stay omitted or explicitly marked as needing verification.
