What is actually confirmed

The retail achievement list confirms several distinct collectible goals: X Never Marks the Spot requires finding all treasure chests in the archipelago, Applied Archaeology requires gathering ten buried items, and Epic Loutbox involves collecting all trading cards for Clip and Clap.

That tells us treasure hunting is a real completion system, but it does not give a verified total chest count. Any site publishing a precise total without showing retail evidence is ahead of the data we have.

How to search efficiently

• Repair radio towers so revisiting islands is quicker.
• Use the Scooper for buried-item scanning; a retail review describes it as a ground-scanning gadget.
• Open hidden routes when your gadget upgrades allow new traversal/harvest options.
• Recheck earlier islands after upgrades instead of assuming the first visit was exhaustive.

Use the checklist on this page by island and collectible type. We only mark a location complete once a retail screenshot, video route or direct achievement-compatible record verifies it. This avoids the classic launch-week problem where demo chest positions get copied into final-game maps unchanged.
